Building My House Still Remains My Dream

But my, oh my! How things have changed in the past few years. Building my home is still dear to my heart, no surprize there, huh? After all, it’s part of the heirarchy of needs. (Security)

I became ill in early September of 2006 and haven’t worked since. Many difficulties arose out of that situation. It’s only recently that I’m stable (both physically and financially) enough to write again and I remembered this blog.

I’m living in a small fifth floor apartment with a tremendous view and equally nice deck that is decked (ha!) out with tomatoes, a rubber plant, three jasmine plants and this very pretty flower container that I can’t remember the name of right now. At least one of my goals have come true – I have a container garden! Oh Yeah – and a cat named Butterscotch that is the queen of her environment.

One thing I’ve noticed in my absence is how beautiful this earth could be. I finally had the time to take notice of the little things in life that should have been much more important when looking back.

I made a lot of noise about sustainability, eco footprints and recycling all the while flying all over the country living the high life. I’m sinking into the corner feeling a bit sheepish at the moment.

Change is what the world is all about, isn’t it?
