After reviewing my blog stats, I’ve decided to stay with the original plan for this blog.
I use the internet for research, similiar to how one would use a library. I suspect others do as well.
When I tried to find information about owner builders building their houses, it was difficult to wade through the bull to get to the meat. How many times have you tried to find something on Google and had to view many advertisements to get the information you needed?
I’ll agree that most websites aren’t advertisements per se but in reality that’s what they are. Particularly frustrating are websites who appear to offer information then bait you to buy their book to get answers.
That’s where this blog comes into play. You can take advantage of the work I’ve done and hopefully it will save you time as well.
I’ve read various articles describing techniques to make your blog great. In them, original content is stressed and I won’t disagree but I do think reference blogs can be of use also.
That, in a nutshell is the point. This isn’t a literary blog so I hope you aren’t here looking for wit and sarcasm. If you are, you may be sorely disappointed.
It’s merely a blog to document my findings, trends and news about the owner builder experience – in a way that will be of use to us in the future. Think of it as my online notebook full of links that I don’t want to lose!
I’ll try to keep personal issues out of it from now on. My experiences, at least according to the blog stats, doesn’t have a place here. Consider this a jumping off site on the way to what you’re really looking for!
